Kevin has spent more than 25 years designing and leading enterprise cloud, data, and AI systems as a solution architect, cloud architect, and engineering leader in the Washington, D.C. technology community.
His work has ranged from Department of Defense systems used in multiple countries, to big data platforms on AWS and Databricks, to Azure data and AI platforms that modernize legacy systems. Today he leads a cross-functional team of developers and data scientists delivering Azure data and AI solutions.
He founded Polaris Innovations LLC in 2026 to bring that same engineering discipline (careful architecture, automated testing, security, and clear communication) to organizations of every size.
Architected Polaris's own multi-agent AI platform: about ten cooperating agents with central orchestration, telemetry, self-improving prompts, vector memory, and circuit breakers for AI providers.
Has led delivery teams of 7 to 20 developers, data scientists, ETL developers, and DBAs on enterprise and Department of Defense programs.
Architected an enterprise data lake and data platform on Azure (Data Factory, AI Foundry, Purview, Synapse), built ETL for datasets of about a billion records, and developed custom large language models in Python.
Secured DoD systems through certification and accreditation (DIACAP) and STIG hardening, and planned disaster recovery and continuity-of-operations solutions.
Designed and automated systems on AWS and Azure, including serverless pipelines, Databricks Delta Lake ingestion, Kubernetes deployments, and Terraform-based infrastructure.
